Sony's DSCS730 7.2MP wonder offers user-friendly controls and high-definition photos at a very affordable price of AU$179.

Weighing 140g and measuring 91.4x61x29.1mm, the compact DSCS730 features a 3x optical zoom lens and a bright 2.4-inch LCD screen to view photos easily.

The DSC730 is capable only of still images in JPEG/AVI output. With the ISO 1250, blurring is reduced during indoor shooting or when taking pictures with no flash or dim light. Shutter speed ranges from 1/8 to 1/2000, while aperture range is from 2.8 to 9.7.

This new Sony model comes with a 22MB internal memory and is compatible with a memory stick duo, PRO, PRO-HG, and PRO Duo (high speed).

Battery life is 50 minutes or 100 shots when on supplied cells, or 220 minutes on an optional NH-AA.

Other features include a built-in microphone; a self-timer; and colour modes in normal, rich, natural, sepia, and B&W.

The model's accessories include an AV cable, two AA alkaline batteries, a USB cable, and a wrist strap. It also comes with a Picture Motion Browser V2.2 for Windows and a USB driver for a Mac.
