The UX17 features Intel Centrino MobileTechnology, an Intel Core Solo Processor U1400 (1.2GHz) for fast processing, built-in Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11a/b/g) and Bluetooth standard version 2.0+EDR. It comes with a 30GB Hard Drive, 512MB memory and Windows XP Professional pre-installed. Among its many wonderful features - the two built-in cameras. The one in front offers VoIP communication for video conferencing and the one in the back can be used for taking photos.

This makes face-to-face conferencing possible even when the participants are on the move. Another useful feature is the touch launcher for quick access to frequently used functions such as Internet, e-mail, various computer applications, games and music.
