March 21 is both Harmony Day and the United Nations' International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This year's celebration includes many multicultural activities at local libraries that aim to celebrate Australia as a melting pot. If you missed the Russian Information Technology last Saturday, then take note of the next events. On Thursday, March 13, you can chat with a human book at the Glebe Library on Benledi Room and find out what it is like to grow up as an indigineous Australian or be a migrant. This Sunday, March 16, Bronwyn Vaughn presents "Aditi and Her Rickshaw," a multicultural storytelling performance for children aged 5 to 12. This event features highly theatrical stories from India, China, and Nepal.
