Food and Dancing at the South American Festival E-mail
February 17 (Sunday) If you think the Carnaval is celebrated only in South America, think again. At Sydney’s Bondi Pavilion, the South American festival is as colorful, vibrant, and fun as it is in the continent where it originated.

The music, dance, arts, crafts, and food of Central and South America are replicated in this Sydney version. It’s a family affair, and you can bring your children if you wish, as there are activities for everyone.  If the tango, salsa, samba, and meringue dance workshops aren’t your thing, you might want to try the 20 stalls that offer delectable South American food. Don’t worry about the children being bored, as there are activities tailored for them at the South American Festival. The Consul General of Ecuador will be presenting a ceramics, painting, and surrealist photography exhibition at the Pavilion Gallery starting on February 5 to 17.

The South American Festival is on a Sunday, from 1 to 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact the Bondi Pavilion at  8362 3400 or e-mail your queries to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
