Until February 17, 2008
Remember Shakespeare, remember this outdoor festival in his honor. It has hit Sydney's inner west. Watch it under the stars while taking in the spectacular views of Sydney Harbour, Anzac Bridge and the Sydney City skyline.
Sydney Shakespeare Festival began in January with "Much Ado About Nothing," a noisy and rowdy celebration of love. It stars mismatched lovers, brothers who squabble, and constables who act in comic ways. You see jealous men conspiring to break up the wedding of star-struck lovers. Rapier wit. Laughter. Lies. Betrayal. War between the sexes. You've got it all.
Shakespeare Festival is on at 8pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It kicked off on 11 January and will run until 17 February 2008, at the Bicentennial Park, Glebe Foreshore.
Kids 12 years and under are admitted free. The disabled and those aged 65 years and over also get in free.
The festival is sponsored by the City of Sydney Council. Ten percent of every ticket sold shall be donated to the Millennium Foundation for HIV Research.
