Soul Music at the Blue Mountains Music Fest

Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk, Blues & Roots promises to be a great festival of folk, roots and blues music--music that truly refreshes the soul.

The festival will feature selected artists and musicians from around the world and from across Australia. Artists and musicians who have been raved about by audiences.

Blue Mountains Music Festival will be held in a variety of venues in the city of Katoomba, New South Wales, and will last from March 14 to 16, 2008.

The site will be alive with the sounds of voices and whistles, to the accompaniment of acoustic guitars and banjos, bouzoukis and mandolins, fiddles and concertinas, pianos and drums, percussion, pipes and flutes.

Feast on the food too, for there will be food stalls and food aplenty. There will be poets' brunch as well as performance workshops and craft stalls where children will be entertained.

The festival opens Friday evening and goes on to Saturday till late Sunday. The venue is a short walk from Katoomba railway station that buzzes with a row of cafes, restaurants and shops. Entry is free.
