Sydney Harbour Sailing Tour E-mail
Here's a great way to soak up the sun: a luxury Sydney Harbour Sailing Tour.
The tour departs from Sydney's central hotels at 10 a.m., although clients may also join the entourage at the Four Seasons on George Street.
The tour starts with a walk around the historic Rocks precint. The Rocks plays a significant part in the history of Australia as this is where members of the First Fleet stepped ashore in 1788 and established the first British settlement. Here, you'll see the first Australian church and cottages built by convicts.

The walk will also take you around the Conservatory, and continues to the Circular Quay, where most of the ferries are; the magnificent Opera House, and then to the Botanical Gardens.

When you get on the coaster under the Harbour Bridge, you'll pass by the harbourside district of Woolloomooloo, which is home to the Finger Wharf Building--the largest wooden structure in the world, according the the Guinness Book of World Records. You'll also get to catch a glimpse of Kings Cross and the ritzy Double Bay area. Located 2 kilometers east of the central business district, King's Cross initially had a reputation for being a red-light district and a bohemian heartland, but major attempts have been made in current years to gentrify it.

At Watsons Bay on South Head, you'll get to enjoy Doyle's famous fish and chips meal in the park, a cheese platter, and Australian wine, which is part of the package. When you get back to the city, the tour will take you to Darling Harbour, where you'll enjoy afternoon tea on a 38-foot yacht while cruising through Sydney Harbour for two hours.

The yacht will take you back to Darling Harbour at the end of the day, and you can take advantage of the time to check out the restaurants in the area.

As with most day tours, remember to dress up in comfortable clothes, wear sunscreen, bring a hat, and don't forget your camera so you can capture those moments for posterity. Package costs $395.
